A Story of Passion for Skiing

Hello! I'm Matteo Zaglio



After two decades skiing in all corners of the Alps for sporting, professional and leisure reasons, in 2010 I decided to move to a country that had always fascinated me, Spain. However, I had a doubt that I couldn't clarify: Would I find something similar to my beloved mountains?

The unexpected solution, luckily, materialized on my first visit to the Baqueira Beret station: I received a crush, if that exists, the Alps in the Pyrenees! Since then, this corner of paradise has become the perfect environment to continue developing my profession as an alpine ski teacher. I have trained continuously, even taking the most advanced training: Level 3 Sports Technician.

Skiing is a highly technical sport that requires constant updating. My goal is to continue offering classes that encourage technical improvement, fun, safety, and emotional enrichment. The Aranese resort turns out to be an ideal place due to the variety of slopes and off-piste areas it offers, as well as the quality of the snow that can usually be enjoyed. In addition, it allows me to personalize your preparation for future trips to the main stations of the Alps, where I can guide you in organizing new snow adventures tailored to you.

For more than two decades, I have forged a deep relationship with the majestic mountains of the Alps, where skiing became my passion. However, in 2010, life took me to a place that had always captivated me, but that left me a mystery: would I find in the Pyrenees something similar to my beloved alpine mountains? The answer to this question manifested itself in a surprising way on my first visit to the Baqueira Beret ski resort. It was a true crush, a revelation, a feeling of finding the Alps in the heart of the Pyrenees.
